Creative light in photography involves using light sources, both natural and artificial, in innovative ways to evoke specific moods, highlight textures, and create depth within a photograph.

Examples:

• Lighting a subject (half of the subject in light/half in dark or rim lighting)
• Light painting (long exposure of a person moving a sparkler to draw a heart)
• Golden light (using morning light hitting buildings or windows)
• Blue Light (landscape just after sunset)
• Movement of light (slow shutter speed of a carnival ride or fireworks)
